The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference, and still have a chance to move up the standings as they only trail the Portland Trail Blazers by a game-and-a-half. However, their quest to do so may have just become more difficult to accomplish, as Paul George is now questionable to play on Friday when they take on the L.A. Clippers.

After hurting his groin during their previous outing against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night, the five-time All-Star's availability on Friday is uncertain due to a pelvic strain, along with starting center Steven Adams, who has been dealing with a left hip contusion, according to Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript.

This is definitely a huge blow to the Thunder, who have been relying heavily on George all season long. He is playing very well in his first year with them, proving that he can co-exist (at times) with Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. He is also producing at a solid rate with 21.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals in 36.3 minutes per game. The 27-year-old Fresno State product has played in all but three games for his team so far this season.

Should George indeed miss Friday's contest, Corey Brewer and Jerami Grant could see an uptick in their minutes, with Alex Abrines also receiving more playing time from head coach Billy Donovan. It will leave the team thin up front, especially with the Clippers' big lineup, but could take advantage of their speed and athleticism, with Westbrook and George being the focal points of their offense.
