Oklahoma City Thunder superstar small forward Paul George has scored over 2,000 points in a season for the first time in his career and the star swingman admits “it's been a grind” to get to this point.

George is dealing with soreness in both of his shoulders at the moment.

While speaking to reporters on Wednesday after the Thunder's home win over the Indiana Pacers, George told a reporter, “You see me iced up?”

Paul George is having the best statistical year of his career this season with the Thunder.

The six-time All-Star is averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest. PG is shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 38.8 percent from beyond the arc and 83.8 percent from the free-throw line.

George has scored over 40 points seven times. His second season with the Thunder has been a success so far, but George, star point guard Russell Westbrook and the rest of the guys on OKC want to go on a deep playoff run after getting bounced in the first-round in 2018 by the Utah Jazz.

Coming into this season, the most points George had scored in a regular-season was 1,874. That came back in 2015-16 when he was still with the Indiana Pacers.
