Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George has undergone successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, according to Royce Young of ESPN.

Young adds that George's timetable is the same for when he underwent surgery on his right shoulder several weeks ago, noting that he will be reassessed at the start of training camp.

George is coming off of what was probably the best season of his career, as he played in 77 games and averaged 28 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.2 steals over 36.9 minutes per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from three-point range and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.

However, during the playoffs, it was obvious that George was not 100 percent, as he struggled with his shot and ended up making just 31.9 percent of his three-pointers during the Thunder's first-round loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at Fresno State, was originally selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 10th overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft.

He spent the first seven years of his career with the Pacers, making three All-Star teams and leading Indiana to back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals appearances in 2013 and 2014.

However, following the 2016-17 campaign, George made his plans known that he would not be re-signing with the Pacers during the summer of 2018, resulting in Indiana trading him to Oklahoma City for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis during the 2017 offseason.

George has gone on to make the All-Star team in each of his first two seasons with the Thunder.
