Donovan Mitchell is having himself a special rookie season and is a huge reason the Utah Jazz are even in the playoffs.

Although his rookie season has surprised a lot of people, one of the people it hasn't shocked is Paul George of the Oklahoma City Thunder who worked out with him predraft.

“He was competitive from day one when I saw him. I worked out with him pre-draft and he was feisty then and he's feisty now. I don’t think nobody knew he was gonna have the season he’s having this fast, but I thought he was going to be special, regardless just because he had that wanting to be the best man on the floor mentality. He's worked to climb to where he is now and he's going to be special.”

For Mitchell, he helped will the Utah Jazz to tie up their first round series with the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2. He played 43 minutes putting up 28 points, six rebounds and two assists. He did struggle a bit from deep going 0-6 but he was able to overcome that with other parts of his game.

Paul George has been arguably the best player for the Thunder so far this series and the battle between him and Mitchell is going to be the one to watch in Game 3.

In Game 1, George put up 36 points, but in Game 2 he wasn't as good putting up only 18 points and that was a big reason they ended up losing.
