Oklahoma City Thunder dynamo Russell Westbrook responded to his critics with the most on-brand answer possible. The 6-foot-3 one-man wrecking ball has strung together 10 straight games with triple-doubles after topping the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday, a feat that has mostly been swept under the rug after posting three straight seasons with a triple-double average.

Russell Westbrook has been nonchalant to the noise surrounding him.

“I've been disengaging that conversation since uh… started playing basketball when I was eight,” said Westbrook.“I’ve been blessed with the talent to not give a f***. I don't.

“Regardless of what happens, it doesn't change the way I live. Doesn't change what I think. Doesn't change anything.”

The Thunder have now won four straight games and 11 of their last 12, as he and co-star Paul George have managed to click on all cylinders.

Yet critics have pried on Westbrook's poor shooting numbers, his inefficiency shooting the ball from all spots and his tendencies to carelessly turn the ball over, averaging 4.6 turnovers per game, despite taking less shots per game and relinquishing some of the closing duties to George.

Russell Westbrook is shooting 41.2 percent from the field, his least efficient mark since his rookie year in the league. He's in the midst of his second-worst 3-point shooting season at 24.4 percent, despite taking 4.5 attempts per night and he's snowballed at the free-throw line from a career-best 84.5 percent during his MVP season to a baffling 65.1 percent in 2018-19.

Needless to say, Westbrook can't care any less, as long as the Ws keep piling up.
