In a landscape-altering, blockbuster move, the Oklahoma City Thunder traded All-Star forward Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers to team up with two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, who signed with the Clippers in free agency.

OKC may not be done moving pieces, however.

Former MVP and star point guard Russell Westbrook may be traded, too. The Athletic's Brett Dawson tweeted early Saturday morning that he “expects” the George trade means a Westbrook trade is being explored by the Thunder as well.

Dawson also added that George requested the trade and following the infusion of trades via the Clippers, “logic dictates” OKC will continue to offload players and look to move Westbrook.

Russell Westbrook was the last first-round draft pick by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2008 right before they relocated to Oklahoma City, where he's played for 11 seasons. He was drafted with the fourth overall pick and has gone on to win league MVP, two scoring titles, eight All-NBA team honors, two All-Star Game MVPs, and eight All-Star team honors. Suffice to say, Westbrook has been a pillar for the Thunder on and off the court in his NBA tenure.

Following Kevin Durant's signing with the Golden State Warriors in the summer of 2016, Westbrook stepped up even more to become the most important player in the relocated franchise's history. He's been a vocal leader on the court where he's turned into a triple-double machine.

Although Paul George re-signed with the Thunder, he was only in OKC briefly — Russell Westbrook departing the Sooner State would be a huge blow to fans in spite of the fetching price.
