Even as adults, some NBA players have not been shy to admit that they still get in touch with their moms often, and don’t mind being called a “momma’s boy.”
That is the case with Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Russell Westbrook, who recently made an appearance on Good Morning America. He was asked to discuss his book “Style Drivers,” and also shared that he often calls his mom to seek some fashion advice, as she is his fashion icon.
“My style icon is my mom. She's always swagged out. She's always kept me up to par on the fashion, on the style, and to this day, I can still call her and she can give me a nay or yay.”
While he is best known for his incredible all around game, he has always been stylish off the court as well. From eccentric to classic looks, Westbrook has rocked them and made them all look good when he's wearing it. He has also been actively seen in fashion events in different cities in the world.
The Brodie continues to be a role model for the youth in pursuing their passion, and even having a career at the same time. The reigning NBA MVP may have a lot on his plate right now, including being a new father, but he has been managing his schedule well to have time for his family and all his endeavors.
