It’s not easy handling three superstars on one team, but that’s the kind of challenge Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan has at hand for the upcoming season. And perhaps there’s no bigger quandary for Donovan to solve within his team than finding a way to evenly distribute the shots among his three stars in Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.

All three were the unquestioned alpha males of their respective teams last season, but now that they operate in the same pack, major adjustments should be made. Asked about it on media day, Westbrook alluded to that time last year when he teamed up with a bunch of other superstars in helping Team USA win the gold medal in Rio de Janeiro and believed that the experience will be instrumental in developing the right chemistry with George and Anthony, who were also on that Olympic squad.

George was also inquired of how he views the offense would shape up every time he, Westbrook and Anthony are on the floor at the same time.

It’s one thing to sound very welcoming to the idea of surrendering some shots for the other than actually doing it. Westbrook led the league last season in shot attempts, while George and Anthony led the Pacers and Knicks, respectively, in that department. In any case, it’s going to be fun watching who will cradle the rock the most in Oklahoma City.
