When the Oklahoma City Thunder successfully added both Paul George and Carmelo Anthony to their fold, there were a lot of questions that surfaced centered around how they will co-exist with Russell Westbrook on the court. Some even wondered how their addition will affect the reigning MVP’s game, and if he’ll be able to average close to his production last season.

Westbrook did not waste time in proving that he can still record a triple-double even with his superstar teammates. During their season opener against the New York Knicks on Thursday, the 28-year-old UCLA product notched his first trips of the season, quickly silencing his doubters. He also achieved it in only 33 minutes of action, and even sitting the final minutes of the game because of their huge lead.

If he can sustain the strong start he's had to the campaign, the Thunder could live up to the expectations of many as serious contenders for the title. They are now an even more dangerous team, with Russell Westbrook continuing his triple-double ways, along with two All-Star forwards, hungry for a chance to win it all.
