Throughout much of his NBA career, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has made it known he has a strong passion for fashion with his, often times, unique choice of clothing before games.

This doesn't make it too surprising to hear that Westbrook has hinted at releasing his own apparel collection within the next year, according to Jean E. Palmieri of WWD.com.

The NBA star and style setter has dropped a couple of hints about his plans to launch his own apparel collection. But he’s keeping the details under wraps for now.

“For sure, I’m working on something,” he acknowledged prior to a book signing at Barneys New York’s downtown store Tuesday night. “It’s coming soon — within a year.”

There are no details beyond that but it could likely feature just different parts of clothing and possible footwear. This news comes just a day after it was announced that Westbrook had agreed to a 10-year extension with Jordan brand, which will be the most lucrative deal that the company has given out to any professional athlete.

The 28-year-old is coming off a stellar campaign that saw him earn his first NBA MVP award after averaging a triple-double with 31.6 points, 10.4 assists, and 10.7 rebounds, which he joins Hall of Famer Oscar Robinson as the only players in league history to accomplish that feat.
