Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a performance of a lifetime on Friday against the Chicago Bulls.

In this particular play, SGA showcased his strength as he scored an and-1 basket to force overtime, en route to setting a new career-high scoring mark:

Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 33 points after this heads up play, which was a new career-high for the third-year combo guard. He simply looked unstoppable for majority of the evening.

Friday's matchup was a showdown between SGA and Bulls star Zach LaVine, who also went off for Chicago. LaVine also eclipsed the 30-point mark for his side, as he went toe-to-toe against Gilgeous-Alexander in what turned out to be an epic battle.

It is worth noting that OKC was missing Al Horford in this one — his second straight absence — for personal reasons, which required Gilgeous-Alexander to step it up for the Thunder even more. SGA knew what was required of him, and he certainly answered the call.

Oklahoma entered this game with back-to-back losses against the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Prior to the Chicago game, the Thunder had previously amassed a 5-6 record, as this young side looks to build on the success they had last year.
