Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be out against the New York Knicks on Saturday due to a quad contusion.

Darius Bazley, Hamidou Diallo, George Hill, and Josh Hall remain out for the Thunder, too.

Diallo has been nursing a groin injury since Feb. 24, while Hill has been in a hard cast since undergoing thumb surgery in January. Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault has put a return timetable for Hill around March 15.

On the other hand, Hall has been dealing with knee soreness. Bazley, for his part, hasn't played since the All-Star break due to bruised left shoulder.

Without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Bazley, OKC will likely start rookie Aleksej Pokusevski and Kenrich Williams against New York, while Theo Maledon could take over point guard duties in the absence of SGA.

The Thunder improved to 16-21 on the season following their 116-108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (without Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis) on Thursday.

Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 32 points on 11-of-22 shooting and six assists against the Mavs. Pokusevski put up 14 points and eight rebounds in his first career start.

The 22-year-old Shai is averaging 23.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 2020-21.

The Knicks fell 134-101 to the Milwaukee Bucks in their first game of the second half on Thursday. The loss dropped the Knicks back to .500 at 19-19, good for the no. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference entering Friday.

Mitchell Robinson remains out for New York with a hand injury, Derrick Rose is in health and safety protocol, and Austin Rivers is away from the team for personal reasons.
