Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just returned from an ankle injury that kept him out for almost a month and he's already balling out at an All-Star level. SGA dropped 32 points in his first game against the NBA-best Phoenix Suns then followed that up with a 36-point performance on Friday night versus the Indiana Pacers, including a game-sealing floater in OT.

Following the contest, the Thunder guard got honest on his recent brilliance and made it very clear: When he's at his best, SGA believes no one in the NBA is capable of containing him:

Maybe a bit bold but honestly, there is nothing wrong with being confident. Also, even though he's shooting just 27% from three-point land, Gilgeous-Alexander is extremely shifty and quick. He can get to the rim in a hurry because of his athleticism. Aside from scoring at a high rate, SGA has also dished out 10 assists across his last two outings for the Thunder.

It's pretty clear that he hasn't missed a beat, despite being out for several weeks. While OKC is essentially in full rebuild mode, they have a couple of very promising guards to build around in Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey. SGA is putting up All-Star numbers and is only going to get that much better with time. Remember, he's just 23-years-old. With a boatload of draft picks in the next number of years, this Thunder team could definitely be a serious threat in the West in the future.

And at this rate, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is going to be the main driving force behind it.
