Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, formerly of the L.A. Clippers, will be opening a new chapter of his young career with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

SGA, the 11th overall pick in last year's NBA Draft, had an up and down season during his first few months with the Clippers, but as the regular season wore on, he showed the team that he can contribute significantly in their bid to make the playoffs, which he did.

He took his game to another level when the Clips faced the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the postseason, and the franchise looked confident about Gilgeous-Alexander's potential.

Unfortunately, when the opportunity to land Kawhi Leonard was given to the Clippers, they grabbed it without any hesitation. According to reports, all they needed to do was to trade for Paul George, who was with OKC back then. L.A. pulled the trigger, and the pairing of those two All-Stars instantly made the Clippers a legitimate title contender.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had to be a part of the PG trade, but he has no hard feelings for the Clippers. If anything, he's thankful for the opportunity to play for the franchise, even for just a short period of time.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be a part of OKC's long, grueling rebuild, but he's fine with that. He will have the opportunity to be the face of the franchise, and he will also be able to learn from an All-Time great in Chris Paul.

It's going to be a brand new start for the sophomore guard, and he's already looking forward to it.
