Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams looks like he’s someone who can get along with animals. Some of his former teammates once described him as someone who acts like he grew up on a farm and that he resembled Tarzan.

As it turns out, Adams really did get to work on a farm at one point in his life and even got to artificially inseminate a cow, as he told The Oklahoman’s Brett Dawson at the OKC Zoo.

Adams said the experience was “pretty weird but it’s pretty cool at the same time,” which is probably the same feeling most people would have upon doing something as unconventional and foreign as artificial insemination.

The OKC big man also professed his love for animals. He called animals “awesome,” and said that he preferred them to most people. Again, Adams seems to be on the right track with that line of thinking. Sometimes, humans are just the worst, so much so that saying they “act like animals” would be an insult to animals.
