With elder statesman Nick Collison set to retire after the 2017-18 season, we have sadly seen the last of quite possibly one of the weirdly hilarious pre-game routines in recent memory.
Of course, one half of the aforementioned routine is his fellow Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams – a player that is always armed to the hilt with comedic punchlines and is chiefly responsible for the Thunder's colorful news conferences.
With their unexpected early first round exit against the young Utah Jazz club and the advent of the modern big man in the NBA, the 24 year-old Kiwi was asked if he expects to add an outside shot to his arsenal soon, and – as always – he has the perfect response to it.

That was mostly tongue-in-cheek considering that the former Pittsburgh Panther only attempted five from behind the arc in five seasons (and none at all in the playoffs), but since he failed to convert any of them, he does have a point.
Still, the question holds plenty of merit. More and more centers are entering the league with at least some range that extends to the three-point line. Tenured veterans like the Los Angeles Lakers' Brook Lopez and Memphis Grizzlies' Marc Gasol are some of the old school low post bruisers that made the outside shot a regular part of their offense and surprisingly at their late 20s, just to keep up with the changing times. The Orlando Magic's Nikola Vucevic also came into the season with the extended range added to his bag of tricks.
