Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams is widely known for his toughness and grit. A no-nonsense guy, Adams recently addressed Paul George's decision to re-sign with the Thunder on a four-year deal in the most Steven Adams way possible.

Rob Mahoney of Sports Illustrated wrote on the factors that prompted George to remain in OKC, including Adams' perspective on how he got hold of the news.

News that George had agreed to a four-year, $137 million contract traveled fast, though not to Thunder center Steven Adams. “I don’t keep up with that s—, mate,” Adams says. “I’m f—— terrible. I just show up and whoever’s on the team, cool.” Andre Roberson, who was in L.A. rehabbing from a ruptured patellar tendon, learned of George’s decision the same way most of the basketball world did: through Instagram clips and the media reports that followed. “Unfortunately,” Roberson says sheepishly.

While Adams gave his typical nonchalant answer about teaming up with George on the Thunder for the years to come, he has to be happy about having another superstar on the team along with Russell Westbrook. This is just his special way of putting it.

Adams, the 6-foot-11 Kiwi bruiser, turned in his most productive season last year. The Thunder center amassed averages of 13.9 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting an efficient 63 percent from the field. Adams also anchored OKC's defense, which impressively ranked eighth in the league.

With Carmelo Anthony signing with the Houston Rockets this summer, Adams will be the Thunder's third main man behind George and Westbrook, though you could argue the big man was already that last season.
