Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams has gone from newcomer to being among the longest-standing cogs of the franchise, now entering his seventh season alongside draftmate Andre Roberson. Teammates like Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Jerami Grant were traded this offseason, and he's aware his turn could come next, depending on how this season shakes out for OKC.

The Kiwi won't spend too much time thinking of the possibility, and he's just glad to be part of the group that laid the foundation for the organization:

“You're just here to help,” said Adams, according to ESPN's Royce Young. “And if you can place your brick, whatever you want to call it… then that's a privilege, you know. That's just cool.

“So even if they did trade me, it's obviously just a huge honor. And I know with every player that's here, it's been a huge honor to contribute to the history that Oklahoma is making.”

Adams is proud to be with the Thunder and will continue to be until that's no longer the case:

“The one thing this organization does really well is you keep consistent with the values,” said Adams. “Doesn't really matter who the players are, you've just got to uphold — we still represent Oklahoma, the people here. We still have a duty to the people that we have to fulfill.”

Admit it or not, OKC is in full rebuild more, previously trying to trade the recently acquired Chris Paul. Adams has been in the midst of rumors, with reported interest from the Sacramento Kings and other teams in need of a true center.

Whether that happens or not, it seems like the big man will be at peace with the decision.
