The Oklahoma City Thunder will get their starting center Steven Adams back on the fold tonight against the San Antonio Spurs, according to Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman.

Adams has been absent throughout the entire three-game win streak against the L.A. Clippers, Dallas Mavericks, and most recently Wednesday night's win over the Chicago Bulls. He suffered a right calf contusion against the Denver Nuggets last week, but went through practice on Thursday and was a full participant in this morning's shootaround.

The Thunder will gain a key cog back against one of their toughest Western Conference foes in the Spurs, who have won five of their last seven games after dropping four straight to start the season.

OKC's Big Three have recently addressed how to share the offensive load, after an eerily similar shot distribution through the first 10 games of the season, which had resulted in a four-game skid.

Rookie center Dakari Johnson got the nod to start in Adams’ absence, and will move back to the bench. He had only played a total of eight minutes prior to Adams’ injury, appearing in three of the Thunder’s first 11 games — but filling in admirably, as Patrick Patterson and Jerami Grant handled the remainder of Adams' minutes.

“Dakari did a terrific job, and I’ve got confidence in Dakari,” head coach Billy Donovan said. “He’s worked hard. And there may be opportunities certainly to continue to use him based on who’s out there, personnel, those kinds of things.”
