The L.A. Clippers kickstarted the NBA's trade deadline frenzy by dealing away power forward Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for a bevy of players and picks. Among the pieces involved in the trade was shooting guard Avery Bradley.

Although the acquisition had just been made, there is certainty that Bradley is not expected to remain in Los Angeles much longer. According to Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post, the Oklahoma City Thunder are among the teams interested in Bradley's services.

Sources say the Thunder have expressed interest in Bradley, who was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers Monday by the Pistons in the blockbuster deal that sent Blake Griffin to Detroit. Ever since that deal took place, there have been rumblings that the Clippers were considering moving on from the 27-year-old guard, who is in the final year of his contract and doesn’t seem likely to fit into their long-term plans.

The Thunder's interest certainly comes as no surprise. They have been looking to shore up their defensive personnel ever since forward Andre Roberson went down for the season. Needless to say, Bradley makes plenty of sense for the Thunder's current endeavors.

Roberson's role on the team was that of their best perimeter defender outside of forward Paul George. Since his absence, George and the rest of the star-studded cast have had to step it up on the defensive end. While Bradley may not have as much size as Roberson, he is a lot more potent offensively. That said, it will be interesting to see what the Thunder are willing to give up in exchange for the struggling shooting guard.
