The Oklahoma City Thunder found out the schedule of their nationally-televised games for next season, just like all other NBA teams on Monday. One of the most highly-anticipated matchups for them is on December 13th, when they visit Bankers Life Fieldhouse to face the Indiana Pacers.

While the Pacers are not being considered by many as a contender for the title, their game against the Thunder has a very good reason why it should be available nationwide for fans to watch, as it will be the first time Paul George will play against his former team, and inside their home court.

The 27-year-old Fresno State product took to his Twitter account to acknowledge that he has already seen the schedule, and let everyone know that it will be a special night not just for the fans, but also for him.

George was part of a blockbuster deal that landed him in Oklahoma City this summer, in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. While the Thunder did not emerge as a potential trade partner for his former team, the Pacers surprised many when they agreed to deal him and quickly pulled the trigger on it. He was rumored as being pursued by the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, and Cleveland Cavaliers, among others, but nothing materialized.

Now with the Thunder, George will have the opportunity to play alongside the league’s reigning MVP, Russell Westbrook, to form one of best duos in the NBA today. Should they prove that they can co-exist on the court and their team become a serious contender for the championship, the four-time All-Star forward should have an easier decision to make next summer in free agency.
