The Boston Celtics just traded Kemba Walker to the Oklahoma City Thunder, and now it looks like Walker will be on the move again. Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports another Walker trade is “imminent,” though it's still unclear if the deal will happen before or after the start of the 2021-22 season.

“Imminent” seems to be doing a lot of work here, but another Walker trade wouldn't be surprising at all. Most people figured the Thunder would turn around and flip Walker at some point. They got a first-round pick along with the veteran guard in the deal, which saw Al Horford and Moses Brown go to Boston. Second-round picks were also swapped in the trade.

OKC doesn't need to rush a Walker trade, especially given his value isn't all that high. It wouldn't be the worst thing if he started the season on the team trying to rehab his value while playing next to a young stud in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. That could help the Thunder get something better in return when they do actually trade Walker.

However, maybe OKC actually has something lined up with Walker already or is eyeing a trade during the draft. A trade involving Ben Simmons could make some sense, and there are other teams out that could use some point guard help.

We know Kemba Walker isn't a long-term option for the Thunder, so he's going to get traded at some point. It's just a question of when, not if.
