The Oklahoma City Thunder have gotten out to a bumpy start to the season sitting at 12-14 record through the first 26 games.

Their continued struggles on the court have pushed forward the notion that some lineup changes may need to be to help right the ship. Much of this has centered around All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony shifting to come off the bench.

It is a belief that Frank Isola of the New York Daily News recently voiced on SiriusXM NBA Radio that the Thunder should heavily consider at this point.

“I think we're getting to the point to where Billy Donovan has to consider bringing Carmelo Anthony off the bench. They have no scoring off the bench. It would probably give you better balance. It's not working. They are 12-14, can't believe anyone, [and] have had some bad losses this season. It's becoming a crisis time for Oklahoma City.”

The Thunder are currently second to last in the league with 23.2 points per game from their bench, which has made it a glaring weakness through the first couple of months of the season. This could lead to a serious push to at least consider trying that shift as Anthony could thrive offensively as the primary scorer

Keep in mind; he has struggled lately trying to find his spots on the floor alongside both Russell Westbrook and Paul George in the starting lineup. In six games played in December, Anthony is averaging 12.5 points on 35.2 percent shooting from the field and a meager 19.2 percent from beyond the arc. This includes just one 20-point outing and failing to crack double-digit scoring twice.

Ultimately, if Oklahoma City's struggles continue to persist into this season, it could lead to much change ahead.
