The Oklahoma City Thunder are reportedly looking to trade the No.21 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft as they try to position themselves to be a title contender next season.

In an appearance on ESPN's 2019 NBA Mock Draft Special, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski said that the Thunder will be aggressive in trading their pick because they are in a ‘win-now mode.'

The Thunder ended the 2018-2019 in disappointment after they were eliminated by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs. In the regular season, it didn't seem that OKC was going to be booted out early, with some even expecting that they would make a deep postseason run.

Besides, there was a point in the season where it looked like they'd finish inside the top three of the competitive Western Conference.

However, after stringing some wins, things took a downturn after the All-Star break. The team seemingly lost its mettle and it subsequently hurt their win-loss record. It didn't help that teams like the Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz were winning game after game.

The Thunder have all the right pieces to make a run. They have two elite players in Russell Westbrook and Paul George, a dependable big man in Steven Adams, as well as a solid bench unit headed by Dennis Schroeder and Jerami Grant.

From the front office's point of view, perhaps the team needs one more piece to complete the puzzle. And they're willing to place their 21st pick (and some more assets) on the trade block to acquire that missing piece.
