Unable to participate in the final few months of his team’s regular season and succeeding playoffs run due to a left knee injury, Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Andre Roberson appears to be on track in terms of his recovery. If this latest Instagram video from Roberson himself is any indication, then we should see the 26-year-old back on the court sooner rather than later.

In this brief clip, Roberson is seen running vigorously on a treadmill, showing no signs of restriction stemming from his surgically-repaired knee.

Roberson’s value for the Thunder has never been about his offensive abilities. OKC had more than enough of that going around last year. What he brings to the table though, is his no nonsense type of defense that is considered as one of the best in the league.

Over the past two seasons in Oklahoma, Roberson has averaged 5.8 points and 1.1 assists in 28.4 minutes per contest as the team’s starting small forward. However, what he lacks on offense, he more than makes up for on the defensive end. During that same period, the 2016-17 NBA All-Defensive team member put up 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks per ballgame.

Roberson is also usually tasked to guard the opposing team’s best offensive weapon, and more often than not, he is able to give his opponent a hard time.

With Roberson back at full strength this upcoming season, the Thunder will look to improve on their early first-round Playoffs exit from last term.
