The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered yet another disappointing loss on Monday night falling to the New Orleans Pelicans.

It was the second straight game that the Thunder failed to hold a sizeable double-double digit lead that pushed their record to 7-9 on the season. Following the contest, All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony voiced some frustration in the manner in which his team continues to lose, according to Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript.

Although Oklahoma City has a talented All-Star trio, it has yet to lead to any consistent success on the court. Russell Westbrook has embraced the facilitator role more this season. But the fact that he plays with two offensive talents that have excelled primarily in isolation situations hasn't helped lead to the team stringing together an encouraging stretch of games.

In fact, the Thunder are 19th in the league in scoring at 103.2 points per game, but have been solid defensively through the first few weeks of the season, currently ranking fourth with just 98.6 points allowed per contest. They possess the offensive firepower to be a juggernaut, but that has yet to translate in them finding a consistent formula every night.

That said, there is still plenty of the season remaining for the Thunder to turn it around having only played 16 games and are sitting around .500 at a 7-9 record. If anything, this certainly something to keep an eye on over the course of the season.
