Former Los Angeles Clippers players Chris Paul, Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned to the Staples Center on Monday as visiting members of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

While most returning players receive boos once they change teams, the trio was met with a warm reception from the home crowd during the pre-game introductions.

Gilgeous-Alexander and Gallinari served as role players for the Clippers last season, but they were endeared for their contributions in helping the team clinch the eighth-seed. The team put up one heck of a fight against the powerhouse Golden State Warriors team in the first round, as they managed to steal two victories in their best-of-seven affair.

The pair was included in the massive trade for Paul George over the summer.

Paul, meanwhile, was the catalyst of the “Lob City” Clippers alongside Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan from 2011-2017. Despite enjoying some playoff success, Paul failed to get the Clips over the hump in the six seasons he played for the team.
