Oklahoma City Thunder guard and reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Russell Westbrook might be notching triple-doubles easily all season long, but he forgot to bring his A-game when he faced Jimmy Fallon…in NBA Jam.

Westbrook made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his latest style book titled “Russell Westbrook: Style Drivers.” During the segment, the television host challenged the six-time All-Star to a two-minute game of NBA Jam.

Westbrook played as himself with Oklahoma's mascot Rumble the Bison as his teammate, while Fallon went old school with Hall of Famer Larry Bird as his main man together with Kevin Garnett.

Despite giving it his all, however, Russell Westbrook fell short, 13-10, thanks to a long-range winner from Bird with five seconds left on the clock.

It's clearly all fun for Westbrook, who has been making the rounds to talk about his fashion side. Though, with only a few weeks left before the start of training camp, it's definitely good to see that he keeps up his competitive spirit, even in a simple video game.
