Oklahoma City Thunder center Nerlens Noel was asked by Erik Horne of The Oklahoman if small forward Andre Roberson has been playing in pick-up games with the team this offseason.

Noel had quite the interesting response, saying he's not sure if he can answer that question.

Andre Roberson has had some bad luck as he recovers from a ruptured left patellar tendon suffered during the 2017-18 season. The Thunder swingman sustained two setbacks in his left knee to derail his comeback last season and missed the entire year.

Roberson’s impact on the game is mostly on the defensive end of the floor. He is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, as he made the 2017 All-Defensive team. Roberson signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Thunder back in 2017.

Either Nerlens Noel is playing coy on purpose just to mess with reporters or Roberson may not be cleared to play yet. Roberson played in 39 games in 2017-18 before getting hurt. He averaged 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 22.2 percent from beyond the arc and 31.6 percent from the free-throw line.

It's a new era for the Thunder this upcoming season, as stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George are gone. OKC is hoping Roberson will be ready to play once the regular season starts, but no one on the outside knows if that's going to happen.
