Nick Collison, one of the most beloved players in Oklahoma City Thunder history, had his jersey number retired during Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors.

The number four will never be worn in Oklahoma City ever again, and it couldn’t have happened to a more selfless team-first player than Collison.

Never a flashy player, Collison did the little things and seemed to be the consummate glue guy in the locker room through thick and thin in Oklahoma City. Collison befriended Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden during his time in OKC, and nary a bad word was said about Collison during his tenure with the Thunder.

During the jersey retirement ceremony, Collison got quite emotional as he saw his #4 in the rafters:

While Collison’s numbers might not immediately jump off the page as jersey retirement-worthy, he spent 14 years with the Thunder organization, even starting out the first four years of his career when the team was still called the Seattle Supersonics.

Collison, aka Mr. Thunder, outlasted Durant and Harden in OKC, and he was a pro’s pro through it all.

The full retirement ceremony for Collison is below. Enjoy it if you want to see a loyal NBA fan favorite get rewarded with one of the highest honors a team can bestow on a player.
