Video: Thunder’s Steven Adams dunks all over Myles Turner off a Russell Westbrook lob
Indiana Pacers big man Myles Turner is leading the league in both blocks per game with a robust 2.7 rejections per contest. However, this time, he wasn’t able to stop Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams.
Of course, if you’re hanging out around the rim and contesting a bunch of shots like Turner, odds are you will end up on a poster at some point in your career. Nonetheless, it’s always not a good look to be on the wrong end of a highlight dunk.
Adams produced a striking highlight of his own at the expense of the Pacers center. Off a Russell Westbrook lob, the New Zealand big man rose to the occasion for the monster jam.

Steven Adams — who is known for his flowing locks, droll Kiwi sense of humor as well as a delightful commercial for beef — is 16th in the NBA this season with 112 dunks, though this is likely the first to catch the NBA’s best shot-blocker napping in the paint.
As the season winds down, every game is a must-win for the Thunder as they try and jockey for playoff positioning. On this night, Adams had the answer for a terrific shot-blocker, something he will have to face again in the Western Conference playoffs against some teams.
