Walt “Clyde’ Frazier used to be one of the smoothest cats in the NBA during his playing days. He didn’t seem to be as suave doing his present job, however.

At least that’s the case during one moment of Saturday night’s broadcast of the game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the New York Knicks, when he inadvertently noted that Thunder defensive linchpin Andre Roberson is averaging “four porns” this season.

“This kid Roberson folks, he averages four porns…four rebounds. But he’s out there because of this [broadcast shows clip of Roberson blocking Knicks center Enes Kanter]. This is his second blocked shot underneath the basket.”

That pause may have very well validated that Frazier had some bit of a Freudian Slip right there. It’s a good thing that Frazier still managed to maintain his thoughts and finish the sentence. Maybe the now 72-year-old Knicks legend just had one of those “senior moments” and confused the broadcast booth to that of the privacy of his own bedroom.

We could just imagine Frazier’s partner, Mike Breen, suppressing himself from following up on what Frazier just said with his patented “Bang!” exclamations. That’s just putting professionalism above all, folks.

But who knows, Frazier probably was really spitting some naked truth out there. Andre Roberson is a notable air-baller, so Frazier might just be making a well-thought academic explanation as to why the Thunder defensive specialist sometimes doesn’t have enough energy to put up a decent shot.

By the way, and for the record, Roberson started Saturday averaging 4.8 points on the season.
