This summer is going to be an interesting one for Ricky Rubio, as he is once again included in a lot of trade chatter. It is unknown where he'll up before the start of next season, but the Minnesota Timberwolves already have a contingency plan should he ultimately be traded.

The team is apparently interested in signing a veteran point guard and Jrue Holiday, George Hill, and Jeff Teague‘s names have come up as possible replacements for the 26-year-old Spanish international, according to Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500.

Holiday is coming off a solid season following his leave of absence to tend to his wife, who underwent brain surgery. He proved to be capable of running the offense for the New Orleans Pelicans and distributed the ball evenly between their All-Star frontline of Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.

Hill served as a floor general for the Utah Jazz and had a promising campaign as they were able to reach the second round of the playoffs. He averaged a career high 16.9 points to go along with 3.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 steal per game.

Teague, on the other hand, played in all 82 regular season and four playoff games for the Indiana Pacers. After being moved to the team last year, he adjusted quickly and played well alongside Paul George.

It remains to be seen who the Wolves' playmaker will be next year. Rubio may very well stay put, but otherwise, and if Minnesota is successful with Plan B, the team's playmaking should still be in good hands.
