The Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors play each other Wednesday, so Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry got some early trash talk in.

Both the Raptors and Timberwolves won Monday night. After the Timberwolves defeated the Indiana Pacers, Butler facetimed Lowry from the Minnesota locker room. The four-time All-Star, who has requested a trade, is praying that Lowry guards him so he can embarrass him.

“Please get switched on to me,” Butler said to Lowry. “I'm finna tear you up.”

Jimmy Butler is a cocky guy and loves to talk smack to his friends. The 29-year-old swingman finished with 20 points while shooting 6-of-12 from the field and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line in the Timberwolves' 101-91 win over the Pacers at home.

Kyle Lowry, meanwhile, posted 16 points and 14 assists in the Raptors' victory over the Charlotte Hornets, Toronto is 4-0 on the young season. Minnesota is 2-2.

At last year's NBA All-Star game, Butler trolled Lowry and the Raptors. When TNT analyst David Aldridge asked Butler what he thought about the Raptors, Jimmy, standing right next to Lowry and former Raptor DeMar DeRozan, didn't mince words:

It should be a good game on Wednesday in Toronto. The game will have a lot of star power. Jimmy Butler, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins from the Minnesota side, and Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry from the Raptors' side.
