The Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Sacramento Kings Friday night, and the team will be without starting swingman Andrew Wiggins.

Andrew Wiggins will not play due to a right quad contusion. He is joined by Jeff Teague (left knee contusion) and Justin Patton on the team's inactive list.

Wiggins got hit in the right leg on Wednesday against the Lakers.

In nine games this season, Andrew Wiggins is averaging 17.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 41.6 percent from the field, 39.6 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line. The former No. 1 overall pick scored 19 points in the Timberwolves' previous games versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Wiggins played 40 minutes.

Rookie guard Josh Okogie will likely replace Wiggins in the starting lineup. Okogie should join Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Timberwolves have lost four games in a row and are 4-8 on the season. The Jimmy Butler trade drama is affecting the team on both ends of the court.
