The Minnesota Timberwolves secured a big away win on Thursday night against fellow Western Conference Playoffs contender, the Los Angeles Lakers. It took a total team effort for the Wolves, who had several players missing due to injury.

Following the 120-105 win, Wolves stud Andrew Wiggins shared how delighted he was with his team's effort on the evening.

“It was a huge team win,” Andrew Wiggins said, via ESPN. “We have a lot of guys out, a lot of guys that (are) hurt, and people came in and stepped up.”

The Wolves were without the services of two starters in the form of Jeff Teague (foot) and Robert Covington (knee). Derrick Rose, who has been filling in as the team's starting point guard in Teague's stead, himself suffered an ankle injury during the game and had to exit after just 12 minutes of play.

The two unexpected standout performances of the evening came from veteran guard Jerryd Bayless (16 points, eight assists, three three-pointers) and undrafted rookie point guard Jared Terrell (10 points in 10 minutes of action). Both guys have barely figured in the Wolves' rotation prior to the slew of injuries, but both were ready when they're numbers were called.

For his part, Wiggins himself had a huge game with 23 points, 8 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. He teamed up with Wolves cornerstone star Karl-Anthony Towns (27 points, 12 rebounds) to overpower the Lakers, who themselves have been hit by the injury bug.

The Wolves have won three straight, and will look to make it four wins out of four when they face the Utah Jazz on Friday.
