Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins continues to suffer from a right quad contusion that has affected him this week. While not considered to be a serious injury, the bruise is lingering and the Timberwolves are not entirely sure when Wiggins will be back on the court.

If Wiggins misses Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks, it would be the first time missing consecutive games in his career. Wiggins was taken out of Monday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers and missed Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors.

Timberwolves rookie Josh Okogie will continue to receive more playing time if Wiggins can't play. Okogie has averaged 11.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals over the last two games. The rookie even started Wednesday's game in Toronto.

Given it is so early in the season, it would be wise not to rush Wiggins back until he is feeling 100 percent. Minnesota may not be off to the best start at 2-3, but Wiggins is an important piece for the future and risking further injury now would be silly.

Andrew Wiggins isn't the only player who may not suit up for the Timberwolves on Friday. Star Jimmy Butler is also questionable with an illness.

Some will surely wonder whether this is actually an illness or an excuse as the Timberwolves work on a Butler trade, but either way the four-time All-Star may not be in the lineup against the 4-0 Bucks.
