Andrew Wiggins after his 40 point performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder spoke about the altercation between Jeff Teague, Dennis Schroeder and Nerlens Noel during the game. Wiggins was confused in why Schroeder was so angry and that he was “acting crazy for no reason.”

Wiggins, per Jon Krawcznski of the Athletic, hopes that Noel wasn't hurt on the floor. It's rare for Wiggins to be so outspoken about any subject.

Wiggins really had carried the Timberwolves with his 40 point performance this evening. Perhaps the departure of their former head coach Tom Thibadeau was the spark for his performance. They promoted the 32-year-old Ryan Saunders to the head coaching position just this week and this was his first win as the coach.

Under Tom Thibadeau, the team seemed to have flat-lined. Karl-Anthony Towns wasn't getting the touches they needed, and Wiggins seemed apathetic. The offense seemed to stagnate.

Even after they traded away Jimmy Butler, who was causing a ruckus in the locker room and ruining the team's chemistry. He needed to be somewhere where the team played with a competitive spirit and didn't have such a demanding coach.

The Wolves organization fired him in part because they have interest in former Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg. There have been rumors connecting him to the job at UCLA, and the time seem riped to make sure they could acquire him themselves.

For now, the team will be run by Saunders. Hopefully, Wiggins and Towns will begin to play well under fresh leadership.

The Timberwolves are now 20-21 on the season and sit in the 11th spot of the NBA’s Western Conference. They will face off next against the Dallas Mavericks at home.
