When Anthony Edwards talks, everyone listens. He's like the total opposite of Ed Sheeran. The Minnesota Timberwolves forward doesn't filter his thoughts—which honestly makes the world better.

On Wednesday night, Edwards added another clip to his ever-expanding highlight reel. He put Miami Heat guard Gabe Vincent in a body bag with a massive in-your-face (in-your-soul?) slam in the early goings of the fourth quarter. It was so nasty, other players didn't know to react.

HOWEVER—HOWEVER!—the referees made the biggest cock-block of all time and whistled Edwards for an offensive foul.

There are no words. For Edwards' dunk and for the referees' party-pooping.

Well, actually, the Timberwolves star had words (via ESPN).

“The zebras, man. I don't know. If I'm refereeing that game and you dunk on someone like that, I'm not calling a charge. And you're at home? I'm not calling a charge.”

Despite the canceled throwdown, Edwards still had a big game with 33 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, three steals, and a block to lead the Timberwolves to a 113-101 win. He also drained six three-pointers and more than held his own against Heat veteran Jimmy Butler who tried to get physical with him.

The Timberwolves improved to 9-9 to extend their winning streak to five games. Edwards held the fort all game, with All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns riddled with foul trouble.

“I was just trying to stay as close as possible until big fella came back.”

But yeah, the zebras, man.
