The Minnesota Timberwolves might have been eliminated from the NBA playoff by the Memphis Grizzlies, but they truly have a star in the making in Anthony Edwards, who shined in the first round.

The youngster was arguably the Timberwolves' best player vs Memphis, averaging over 25 points per game and shooting over 40% from deep and the field. In the process, he made NBA history with a feat that has NEVER been done in the postseason by a player of his age.

That's right. Not even the great LeBron James or Kobe Bryant was able to show out to this degree at 21 or younger. The Timberwolves star was also expected to be a star and he's surely living up to the billing, even on the big stage. Although the Timberwolves struggled to lock down defensively in this series, Ant is giving them a reason for optimism heading into the future.

Edwards went off for a team-high 30 points in Friday's Game 6 loss while also shooting 4 for 10 from three-point land. It's honestly crazy to think he's only in his second NBA season because the former Georgia standout looks extremely comfortable in his surroundings with all the pressure raining down.

The Timberwolves are definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come with two franchise cornerstones in Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns.
