Minnesota Timberwolves star D'Angelo Russell once again flexed the ice in his veins with the game-winning three to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With the game in a deadlock with under 10 ticks left in regulation, Russell sized up defender Hamidou Diallo at the top of the key. After a series of crossovers, the 24-year-old guard created enough space to launch a clutch 3-pointer, giving his team a 3-point lead with 2.9 ticks left.

That dagger shot proved to be the final nail in the coffin, as the Timberwolves ran away with a 106-103 victory. Interestingly enough, D'Lo did not flash his usual “ice in my veins” gesture, knowing OKC still had a chance to send the game in overtime.

Russell finished with 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field and five made 3-pointers, along with six assists, four rebounds, one steal, and one game-winner in 31 minutes. The win snapped the Wolves' two-game skid and improved their record to 6-16. However, Minnesota is still dead last in the Western Conference Standings.

Russell is doing his best to hold the fort at the moment, as his fellow All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns has suffered another injury setback. D'Lo was notching 19.9 points, 5.3 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals for the Timberwolves entering Friday's game versus OKC.
