On Thursday, “Pooh: The Derrick Rose Story” finally aired on Watch Stadium. The documentary included many untold stories from Minnesota Timberwolves guard Derrick Rose's life and NBA career.

It also included some insight into his relationships with other players and coaches.

In particular, one relationship during his college years wasn't too pretty. In fact, it almost forced Rose to transfer away from the University of Memphis.

Via Stadium on Twitter:

Rose spent only one year at Memphis under Calipari. Following his freshman season, he was drafted first overall by the Chicago Bulls, and the rest is history.

Calipari, who today coaches the University of Kentucky Wildcats, has long been considered one of the best coaches in college basketball.

This may be in thanks due to his time coaching in the NBA with the then-New Jersey Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers. However, he might have been a bit too hard on players like Rose.

Rose, 30, served as a semi-regular for the Minnesota Timberwolves this year. His season was cut short due to an elbow injury that required surgery. Still, he averaged 18.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

The point guard is a three-time All-Star and was the Rookie of the Year in 2008-09 and the Most Valuable Player in 2010-11, both with Chicago.
