The Minnesota Timberwolves will be in the market for a new assistant coach after Rick Brunson resigned from his post.

According to Jon Krawcyzynski of The Athletic, Brunson resigned after several women came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct.

Chris Haynes of ESPN added on to that reporting saying one of the women is a current media member.

Brunson played in the NBA for nine seasons before switching over to be an assistant coach. He was hired in 2016 by Tom Thibodeau to be an assistant with the Wolves, but before that had worked with the Denver Nuggets, Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls.

This isn't the first time that Brunson has had these types of allegations leveled against him. In 2014 Brunson was about to join the Temple coaching staff when he was arrested and charged with attempted criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual abuse, and three counts of aggravated battery.

According to the police report, Brunson used Patrick Ewing's name when he set up an appointment with a masseuse. That masseuse had previously told Brunson she wouldn't work with him anymore, and that's why she believed he used his name.

Later, the woman said she couldn't remember exactly what happened and the charges ended up being dropped.
