Memphis Grizzlies center Joakim Noah says he's happy for his close friend and former teammate, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose.

Rose is having a resurgence this season in Minnesota and Noah couldn't be happier for the former league MVP. The two played together with the Chicago Bulls and spent one season together with the New York Knicks.

Both Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose have battled through injuries, but the two former All-Stars are having their best statistical years in a long time this season.

Since becoming the youngest MVP in NBA history back in 2011 with the Bulls, Rose has undergone four knee surgeries. Noah, who won the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year award with Chicago, has had multiple knee surgeries as well, along with shoulder procedures.

Noah and Rose have been overcoming obstacles their entire life, so it's not a surprise to see them playing well this season.

For the Timberwolves, Rose is averaging 18.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 47.9 percent from the field, 38.3 percent from beyond the arc and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line. He scored a career-high 50 points on Halloween against the Utah Jazz.

Noah began this season in New York, but he was waived and signed with the Grizzlies. In 33 games for Memphis, Noah is putting up 6.6 points and 5.3 rebounds.
