Fans of the Minnesota Timberwolves witnessed a huge scare to their team's campaign when they saw Jeff Teague suffer a knee injury during Wednesday's win versus the Denver Nuggets. He immediately had an MRI done the following day which fortunately revealed no structural damage to it. However, he was diagnosed with a left knee sprain and will now reportedly be out indefinitely, according to The Associated Press via USA TODAY Sports.

That was also the same development reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN:

Knee injuries are always tricky to deal with and it will take some rehabilitation to be done first before the former All-Star will be cleared to resume all basketball-related activities again. It is definitely a huge blow to the Timberwolves as he has been playing well for them this season, with averages of 13.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.5 steals through 31 games.

If there's any good news for the Wolves at this point, Tyus Jones has filled in his absence with solid performances so far. Jamal Crawford has also played some minutes at the point guard spot and giving the team a huge lift off the bench. It can be expected that both of them will continue to see an uptick in their usage as Teague recovers from his injury.
