Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns adds his name to another page in the franchise's book of records, breaking Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett's mark for most career games with at least 30 points.

Towns achieved the feat in the Timberwolves' matchup against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night, albeit in a losing effort.
He finished the game with 35 points, going 11-of-25 on the field and 10-of-11 at the stripe. He also registered 10 rebounds and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes of floor time. The defeat snapped the Timberwolves' two-game mini-streak, giving them an 11-11 win-loss record.
This marks Karl-Anthony Towns' fifth game this season with at least 30 markers to his name. Towns entered the game averaging 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per outing. These are below what Timberwolves fans are used to seeing from their franchise player, but just enough to keep the team in contention for a postseason berth.
Towns and Garnett got to play alongside one another in the latter's return to the Twin Cities. Their time spent together allowed the talented youngster to soak in as much knowledge from the franchise's best player ever.
Despite not having as much playoff experience thus far, things are looking up for Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves this season. For now, the road doesn't get easier for Minnesota as they pay a visit to the Brooklyn Nets for their next test on Friday.
