The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday behind a monster game from All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns.

Towns finished with 35 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocks against the Hornets in Minnesota's 121-104 home win. According to Alan Horton of Wolves radio, it was the first 35-plus point, 10-plus rebound, and five-plus block game in the NBA this season.

Karl-Anthony Towns has been a completely different player ever since the Jimmy Butler trade. He's been more aggressive on offense, more dominating on defense and, most importantly, he is leading the Timberwolves to wins.

Minnesota is now 13-12 on the year after defeating the Hornets. The team is 9-3 since trading Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers and Towns has been a man among boys in the paint.

The Timberwolves' former No. 1 overall pick is showing everyone who doubted him that he is indeed worth the max contract he signed before the season started. Karl-Anthony Towns and Butler couldn't co-exist, so it was affecting the big man's game on the basketball court. The trade helped Towns to get more comfortable. It also helps that he's getting more shots on offense as well.

Karl-Anthony Towns is averaging a double-double on the season and has made a 3-pointer in every game this year. If he keeps this up, Towns will surely make the All-Star team yet again.
