Patrick Beverley has been a regular on ESPN over the past few weeks. It was only a matter of time before the Minnesota Timberwolves guard would cross paths with fellow ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins. This is exactly what happened on Thursday, and it resulted in a rather fiery exchange between the pair.

Perkins decided to call Beverley out to his face for his take on Sixers star James Harden. Big Perk commended the Timberwolves veteran for his unfiltered take on Chris Paul, but at the same time, Perkins also implied that Pat Bev was being biased when he talked about his buddy, James Harden:

ā€œI watched you dismantle Chris Paul. I watched you give CP3 the business,ā€ Perkins told the TImberwolves guard, via ClutchPoints on Twitter. ā€œā€¦ You didn't tell a lie, but you didn't tell the truth about James Harden, your homieā€¦ Homies don't matter, you gotta speak the truth.ā€

Perkins is speaking the truth here. Beverley appears to have a bright future ahead in the field of broadcasting but he will need to put his biases behind him. As Perkins said, the Timberwolves guard needs to learn how to call a spade a spade regardless of his own personal inclinations. That's just how it has to be.
