Free agent guard Marcus Georges-Hunt has agreed to a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Georges-Hunt had a short stint with the Orlando Magic, playing five games with the team in a very limited pro run, consequently being waived at the start of the month.

A scoring shooting guard in Georgia Tech, the 23-year-old showed promise in the Orlando Summer League, warranting a run with the ever-improving Timberwolves, likely as a two-way player while he rounds up his skills in the newly-renamed G-League.

The former Yellow Jacket developed part of his game playing for the Maine Red Claws last season, displaying a physical, yet refined offensive game that saw him average 15.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.

His improved rebounding could help him play the small forward position at the next level after growing an inch after his senior season at Georgia Tech in 2015-16.
