The Minnesota Timberwolves have hired Gianluca Pascucci as assistant general manager, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN,

Pascucci was previously the Director of Global Scouting for the Brooklyn Nets. He also worked closely with Timberwolves President Gerrson Rosas with the Houston Rockets where he was the director of player personnel.

This is just one of the key string of changes for the Timberwolves. They recently named Ryan Saunders as their permanent head coach. To recall, they made the 33-year-old the interim head coach after letting go of Tom Thibodeau.

Time can only tell if such changes will be for the betterment of the team. It was a disappointing year for Minnesota after entering the 2018-2019 season with high hopes making the playoffs.

The team was involved in plenty of controversy, highlighted by Jimmy Butler’s now-infamous practice wherein he boldly challenges his teammates, front-office members and coaching staff. Thibodeau’s coaching ability was put into question too.

But now, it seems that the organization has moved on from that nightmare of a season. The good thing is that they still have a good young crop of players in Karl-Antony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Josh Okogie, among others. The mission now is to develop their game further and maintain an organized front office.
